Retired archaeology professor Wang Hua has been focusing his research on the legends in the Classic of Mountains and Seas about King Xiang of Chu and the goddess Yao Ji from the Warring States period. The mountain where Yao Ji is said to be buried is located in Hubei province. Wang Hua and his daughter, Wang Jia, left without saying goodbye and went to Wushan with companions to search for an ancient tomb, but they disappeared without a trace. Left with no other choice, Wang Jia invited the extraordinary detective Qi Wen to join her on the trip to Wushan, but little did they know that the journey would be fraught with danger.
