Gold Diggers of 1933
Amid the glitz of Broadway, three chorus girls—Polly, Carol, and Trixie—hope a new stage will change their fate. Producer Barney Hopkins promised them roles, even recruiting their neighbor, Brad Roberts, a talented composer, to create the music. Problems arise when Barney runs out of funds, until Brad, who turns out to be very rich, saves the production—on the condition that he not appear. However, when the main star can't take the stage, Brad is forced to take over, angering his elite family who threaten to cut off his living if he doesn't leave Polly. When her sister mistakes Carol for Polly, the girls plan revenge full of surprises. Who will win in this game of love and social class?
