Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Kim Baker, a news copywriter, leaves her comfort zone in New York to become a reporter in war-torn Afghanistan. Initially she was overwhelmed by the dangers of war, the harshness of daily life, and the condescending attitudes of her male colleagues. Helped by fellow female journalist, Tanya, and local translator, Fahim, Kim slowly finds her voice—but also begins to lose touch with her old life. In the midst of the "Kabubble" (Kabul bubble), he must decide how far he is willing to go on a big story, asking: is this really him, or just an illusion of a strange world? Is he ready to face the fact that this war may no longer make headlines?
