Where the Truth Lies
In 1972, journalist Karen O'Connor was given the task of digging into the past of Vince Collins, a comedian whose career was in decline, to write his memoirs. The focus: uncovering the reasons for Vince's breakup with his partner, Lanny Morris, after the 1957 charity telethon, as well as the mystery of the death of Maureen O'Flaherty—the young woman found dead in their hotel bathtub. Even though they were never involved, Vince and Lanny kept a dark secret. Karen, who turns out to be the "Miracle Child" of the telethon, is caught in a game of lies when Lanny threatens to release his own sensational book. Who can really be trusted?
