The Runaways
In 1975, teenager Joan Larkin reinvented herself as Joan Jett, a rebellious guitarist who dreamed of forming an all-girl punk band. Together with cunning manager, Kim Fowley, he recruited Cherie Currie, a 15 year old girl with a charming voice, as the face of the band. The Runaways were born, rocketing onto the world stage with a tour of Japan and a record deal. However, behind the glamor, conflict lurks: Cherie is caught up in drugs and alcohol, while Joan struggles to maintain her vision. Without adult guidance, will they survive or be destroyed by the world they have created?
