The Piano
In the middle of the 19th century, Ada, a mute woman from Scotland, arrives in the wild forests of New Zealand with her daughter, Flora, and her beloved piano. Her planned marriage to Stewart falls far short of her dreams, and the agony deepens when Stewart sells his piano to George, their neighbor. George offers a deal: Ada can get her piano back by giving her lessons—with hidden conditions. Initially hating George, Ada slowly becomes enamored of him, triggering a dangerous situation that changes their lives forever. A romantic drama full of passion and pain, accompanied by charming music by Michael Nyman.
