The East (De Oost)
In the midst of the turmoil of the Indonesian War of Independence, a young Dutch recruit joins an elite force led by a mysterious figure called "The Turk." However, the cruelty of war under the command of the legendary captain slowly eroded his faith. When massacres and violence are inevitable, he oscillates between loyalty and conscience, until finally he has to choose: remain loyal to his duty or defect for the sake of humanity.
