Silence
In Japan in 1633, two Jesuit missionaries, Rodrigues and Garupe, undertake a dangerous journey in search of their mentor, Ferreira, who is thought to have apostatized amidst the brutal persecution of Christians. Guided by Kichijiro, they witnessed the cruelty of the Japanese Inquisitors who forced Christians to renounce their faith. When Rodrigues is arrested, he is faced with an impossible choice: deny God or watch his people be tortured. In the midst of the heartbreaking silence, where does God hide?
