Takao Matsumoto, a 30 year old man who is obsessed with rock music, has to face the harsh reality when his girlfriend, Makiko, leaves him because of his wasteful habits. In order to win Makiko's heart back, Takao is determined to change his life by being extremely frugal—even to the point of turning off the electricity!
