Ryoma Echizen, a 12-year-old tennis prodigy who won 4 junior tournaments in America, returns to Japan at the request of his father, tennis legend Nanjiroh Echizen. He attended Seishun Academy, a school renowned for its strong tennis club. With his cool attitude, Ryoma challenges the regular members, including the tough captain Tezuka and the energetic duo Golden Pair.
