Pacific Rim
When monstrous giant creatures, Kaiju, rise from the sea, humanity faces extinction. The prolonged war took millions of lives and resources, until the final weapon was created: the Jaeger—a giant robot controlled by two mentally connected pilots. However, the Kaiju are getting stronger, and the human defenses are about to collapse. On the brink of defeat, two unlikely heroes—a failed ex-pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an inexperienced cadet (Rinko Kikuchi)—must revive a legendary Jaeger that was deemed obsolete. Together, they are the last hope against the looming apocalypse.
