National Security (Namyeong-dong 1985)
Inspired by a true story, this film depicts the atrocities of South Korea's authoritarian regime in 1985. Kim Jong Tae, the leader of the democracy movement, was arrested and tortured for 22 days at the Namyeong-dong interrogation facility. With a biting narrative, this film exposes political ferocity as well as the determination of a fighter.
