Poland, 1983. Grzegorz Przemyk, son of opposition activist, dies after being beaten by police. Jurek Popiel, the only witness, is determined to uncover the truth—but the communist regime won't let him. Faced with intimidation, lies, and violence, Jurek and Grzegorz's mother fight against the state propaganda machine.
