East Germany, 1989: Alex, a young rebel, is arrested by the police, leaving his mother in a coma of shock. When he awakens, the Berlin Wall has fallen, and his mother's world is gone. To protect him, Alex creates the illusion that East Germany still exists—with fake footage, old food, and increasingly elaborate lies. But how long can he maintain this lie?
