Algeria, 1943. Saïd, Messaoud, and Abdelkader—three young Arabs devoted to France, their homeland—are willing to fight against the Nazis. In the midst of a brutal battlefield, they faced injustice: French troops received better food, leave, and promotions. Poor Saïd becomes sergeant Martinez's aide, Messaoud falls in love with a French woman, while Abdelkader struggles against discrimination. With courage and sacrifice, they questioned the promise of "liberty, equality, and fraternity." Will their sacrifices be recognized?
