In 1932, Frank Wiecek was sentenced to life in prison for killing a police officer. Eleven years later, a newspaper advertisement from Frank's mother caught the attention of journalist P.J. McNeal. Initially convinced of Frank's guilt, McNeal slowly finds holes in the case.
