Gangster Land (In the Absence of Good Men)
Tracing the rise of the Italian mafia in the Prohibition era, it tells the story of "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn, a former boxer who becomes entangled in the criminal world after the murder of his stepfather. Together with Al Capone, he rose quickly through the ranks, sparking a bloody war against the Irish gang led by "Bugs" Moran. Tensions culminated in the legendary Valentine's Day Massacre.
